MV Rodis

wine · tastings

MV Rodis had more than twenty-five years of wine experience but no current digital expression of that expertise. The site turns the offer into a focused boutique: selected bottles, provenance and a personal tasting at the client’s home.

The brief

Translate an established importer’s personal sales model into a site that feels considered, intimate and useful. The central offer is not anonymous ecommerce; it is guided selection and tasting.

The site had to hold both sides of the business: an international wine catalogue and a very personal service in Prague.

02

The interface

Burgundy, muted gold and low-key photography create a tasting-room atmosphere without turning the page into a luxury cliché. The hero moves directly from the provenance story to booking a tasting.

Red, white and rosé collections become visual entry points. Supporting sections explain the importer, the represented regions and how a private tasting works.

03

The build

The responsive React site includes the main marketing page, a routed wine list and the complete contact journey. Motion is limited to entrance, hover and scroll cues so the photography remains primary.

It is live at mvrodis.cz, served from Base44 behind the client’s own domain.

What I learned

The most useful decision was the shift from “wine shop” to “guided choice”. That single decision simplified the copy, the hierarchy and the main call to action across the site.
